Janet Snow Kozlowski, 79, of East Randolph, N.Y., died Thursday evening, Aug. 16, 2012, at The Ab-solut of Salamanca, N.Y.
Born May 15, 1933, in Red House, N.Y., she was the daughter of the late Sid-ney and Mary Heron Snow. On August 15, 1954, in Chicago, Ill., she married Mr. Lawrence Kozlowski, who predeceased her on July 2, 1987.
She attended Fredonia State Teacher's College and the University of Alas-ka at Anchorage.
Mrs. Kozlowski was em-ployed as a teacher for the Fairbanks School System, Fairbanks, Alaska. Previ-ously, she had taught school in Wrangell, Alaska, Homestead, Fla., Dulce, N.M., and Mescalero, N.M. Upon her retirement from teaching, she had owned and operated the former Snowbird Antiques, East Randolph, N.Y.
She was an enrolled member of the Seneca Na-tion of Indians and the Heron Clan.
Surviving are a daughter, Valerie Kozlowski, James-town, N.Y.; a son, Peter (Dana) Kozlowski, Ran-dolph, N.Y.; six grand-daughters; and14 great-grandchildren.
Friends may call at the O'Rourke & O'Rourke Inc. Funeral Home, 25 River
St., Salamanca, N.Y., on Sunday 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.
Funeral services will be held in the funeral home on Monday morning at 10 a.m. with Deacon Michael Anderson, of Our Lady of Peace Parish, officiating.
Burial will be in Hillside Haven Cemetery, Steam-burg, N.Y.
