The EPIC (Elderly Pharmaceutical Insurance Coverage) program is getting ready to announce upcoming program changes.
A "Good News for EPIC Members" letter along with a renewal form will be mailed to 273,000 enrolled members announcing the restoration of the EPIC program, beginning Jan. 1, 2013.
All members are required to complete the renewal form and mail it back to the program in the postage paid envelope to ensure that their income is accurately recorded. EPIC coverage (fees and deductibles) will be based on their income beginning Jan. 1, 2013.
The mailing began Aug. 1 and will continue through the end of the month. EPIC pharmacy providers and prescribers will also receive information about the new program. Staff on the EPIC Helpline have been trained on the upcoming program changes.
