WESTFIELD POLICE

WESTFIELD - Ronald Newsom, 57, of Elyria, Ohio, was charged with speeding and third-degree aggravated unlicensed operation at 3:21 a.m. Aug. 7. He was arraigned and is due back in court later.

DUNKIRK - An 18-year-old male was taken into custody on an active warrant at 12:13 p.m. on Aug. 8 for violating his terms of probation. He was arraigned and remanded to the Chautauqua County Jail.

WESTFIELD - Kurt Kraemer, 52, of Dewittville was charged with having an unregistered motor vehicle, unlicensed operation and third-degree aggravated unlicensed operation at 7:44 p.m. Aug. 8. He was issued traffic tickets and is to appear in court later.

WESTFIELD - Jason M. Seekings, 26, of Jamestown was charged with speeding and third-degree aggravated unlicensed operation at 10:21 p.m. Saturday. He is due back in court later.

WESTFIELD - Chandler Pool, 21, of Westfield was charged with having an open container of alcohol at 10:05 p.m. Sunday. He was issued an appearance ticket and will be in court at a later date.

WESTFIELD - Walter C. Lanneaux, 29, of Westfield was charged with petit larceny and criminal possession of stolen property at 5:17 p.m. Sunday. According to a police report, officers responded to a shoplifting complaint at the Family Dollar store in Westfield. Lanneaux was identified as the suspect and was taken into custody. He was arraigned and remanded to the Chautauqua County Jail on $2,000 cash bail or $4,000 property.

CHAUTAUQUA COUNTY SHERIFF'S OFFICE

WESTFIELD - Haley Potter, 19, of Ripley was charged with unlawful possession of marijuana at 9:15 p.m. Tuesday. Alexandra Rymko, 18, of Westfield was charged with seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance and unlawful possession of marijuana at the same time. According to a police report, the charges were the result of an investigation into suspected drug activity at the Dan Reed Pier in Westfield. Both subjects were released with appearance tickets and will be in court later.

CATTARAUGUS COUNTY SHERIFF'S OFFICE

OLEAN - Jesse E. Smith, 19, of Olean was charged with fourth-degree criminal mischief, second-degree harassment and second-degree criminal trespassing at 5:40 p.m. Monday. According to a police report, Smith allegedly broke the cellphone of another person and punched the same person after entering the victim's residence through a window. Smith was issued appearance tickets and will be in court later.
