To the Readers' Forum:
Why can the homosexual community protest Christian's beliefs - flaunting their wickedness shamelessly by having a "kissing fest" - but Christians are not to speak out against homosexual's beliefs? Reverse discrimination? Our Constitution still upholds freedom of religion but Christians more than any other group are increasingly being discriminated against for their faith.
Christians do not take a stand against the homosexual - but against his lifestyle - because God has said in the Bible it is an abomination - and note that society's standard of morality originated from the Bible. Christianity is a religion based on love - "God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son that whosoever believeth on Him should not perish but have ever- lasting life." - John 3:16. God is the ultimate example of love and does not have to accept wrong or sin to show or prove His love.
Does a parent show his love by allowing and accepting the negative behavior of his child? No, if he truly loves the child he does not.
So love is not accepting wrong behavior. But Christians are criticized for being unloving by not accepting what the Bible states is sin ... Those who criticize Christians are being unloving - or is this not important to them to be so. Is it more about having their sinful behavior accepted?
