The Sprague Street bridge, which was demolished in April, had beams being laid beginning Thursday. Work continued on the bridge throughout the day Friday. According to Lex Brumagin, engineer 3 for the county, residents should see the bridge reopened by the end of September. The project was selected by the Department of Transportation to receive federal funding for its replacement due to its poor condition.
