Allen and Phyllis Johnson of Jamestown, N.Y. celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary on June 16, 2012, with a celebration at their church, Immanuel Lutheran Church in Jamestown, N.Y. The celebration was hosted by their children and friends. They are the parents of Kelly (Bruce), Michael (Vicki) and Tim (Jennifer). They also have four grandchildren: Morgan, Nathan, Madison and Shane; and two great-grandchildren: Jordan and Jackson.
Johnson and the former Phyllis Stenander were married June 23, 1962, in Bethel Lutheran Church in Jamestown, N.Y.
Johnson is a retired from the Southwestern Central School District where he had been employed as a sixth-grade teacher. Mrs. Johnson is retired from Jamestown Public Schools where she had been employed as a teacher's aide in reading. They are members of Immanuel Lutheran Church in Jamestown, N.Y. and are very involved in church-related activities.
