Midget Football To Hold Can Drive
BEMUS POINT - Bemus Point Midget Football is having a refundable can drive from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday. Anyone interested in helping can drop off returnable cans and bottles at the Bemus Point bus garage on that day or by calling 338-3799 to have cans picked up. The public can also drop cans off at Don's Car Wash and say the donation is for the Bemus Point Midget Football League.
Bible School Ends Sunday
KENNEDY - Clark's Corners Community Church, 1 Gospel Lane, Kennedy, will host the closing program of the vacation Bible school, ''Sky,'' at 10 a.m. Sunday. Children will present highlights of the VBS week. A church picnic follows the program.
Back To School Donations Needed
KENNEDY - Kennedy First United Methodist Church is participating in the Falconer Area Back-to-School project again this year. School supplies for pre-kindergarten through high school students are being collected. Supplies needed include: pens and pencils, erasers, glue sticks, eight-pack jumbo and 2-pack Crayola crayons, colored pencils, hand sanitizer, tissues, highlighters, pens, binders, loose leaf paper and vinyl pocket folders. The program has been expanded to meet additional needs by requesting underwear, children's size 5 and up; clothing, size 5 through 8 for boys and girls; and socks. Lakewood Legion To Provide Music
LAKEWOOD - Lakewood Legion will host Jay Walker and the Pedestrians playing 50s, 60s and 70s music Friday from 7 to 10 p.m. Friday night specials will be available.
Rodeo Luncheon Canceled
GERRY - Due to a family emergency, the Rodeo City Senior Citizens luncheon and program scheduled for Friday has been canceled.
Outdoor Club To Hike Sunday
On Sunday, the Allegheny Outdoor Club will hike in the Kinzua Bay area. The 4.5 mile hike will begin on Forest Route 259 then continue on Forest Route 263 past Dewdrop and Elijah runs and finish at an overlook of Kinzua Bay. Thule Lodge To Hold Breakfast
BEMUS POINT - The Thule Lodge, 4123 Pancake Hill Road, will hold a pancake breakfast from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Sunday at the lodge. Tickets may be purchased at the door. The breakfast is open to the public.
Bike Blessing Set For Sunday
GERRY - Sam Shreffler, Heritage Ministries senior chaplain, will hold a bike blessing for all interested motorcyclists at 2:30 p.m. Sunday at Heritage Village Skilled Nursing Facility in Gerry.
