CHAUTAUQUA COUNTY SHERIFF'S DEPARTMENT
BROCTON - Jerry S. Bentham, 30, of 138 Lake Ave., Lot 2, Brocton, was charged with driving while intoxicated, DWI per se and parking on the pavement at 7:35 p.m. Friday. Sheriff's deputies observed a 1998 white Volkswagen parked partially in the westbound lane of traffic of Route 5 in Portland with the hazard lights on. When deputies turned their emergency lights on to investigate the problem, the operator drove the Volkswagen across the road onto Lake Avenue where he stopped. Upon investigation it was determined that Bentham was the operator and that he was intoxicated. He will appear in Town of Portland Court at a later date.
JAMESTOWN POLICE DEPARTMENT
A 17-year-old Jamestown youth has been charged with false personation to go along with four outstanding bench warrants for failure to appear regarding other currently pending charges. At 1:11 p.m. Friday, officers were called to 225 Forest Ave. for a report of three youths entering a vacant house through a window. After an investigation it was determined that two of the youths were 12 and 14 years of age, but the third youth said he was 15 and gave a last name other than his own. When the youth's father arrived, police learned the correct last name and took the 17-year-old into custody. The youth was taken to Jamestown City Jail for processing and arraignment.
Tommy Williams Jr. was charged with two counts of first-degree criminal contempt and second-degree harassment at 1:40 a.m. Saturday. Jamestown police responded to a call of a domestic dispute at Cadilis Bar. Upon arrival, officers spoke to a female victim who said Williams physically harassed her and then left the bar. There is also an order of protection for Williams to stay away from the victim. He was located a short distance from the bar and taken into custody. Williams is currently awaiting arraignment in Jamestown City Jail.
LAKEWOOD-BUSTI POLICE DEPARTMENT
Fred L. Ellis, 54, of Warren, Pa. was charged with petit larceny Thursday at 5:38 p.m. Officers responded to a shoplifting call at Wal-Mart. Ellis was taken into custody, arraigned in Town of Busti Court and committed to the county jail.
WESTFIELD POLICE DEPARTMENT
Anthony F. Price, 43, of 7506 Route 20, Westfield, faces several charges after a traffic stop at 11:47 p.m. Tuesday. A Westfield patrolman on East Main Street observed a vehicle traveling at a high rate of speed. Upon stopping the vehicle, Price was observed to be the driver and the officer smelled alcohol on Price's breath. Officers also observed two young children in the back seat without proper restraints. Upon investigation it was discovered that Price had his driving privileges suspended in New York state and had also had a prior driving while intoxicated charge within the past 10 years. Price was charged with aggravated DWI (Leandra's Law), DWI, first-degree aggravated unlicensed operator, two counts of endangering the welfare of a child, unlicensed operator, two tickets for rear-seat passengers without proper restraint devices and speeding. He was arraigned in Village of Westfield Court and bail was set at $10,000 cash/$20,000 property. He will appear in court at a later date.
SALAMANCA POLICE DEPARTMENT
Jordan Bucktooth, 22, of Salamanca was charged with aggravated harassment and criminal contempt Friday at 9 a.m. She was held pending arraignment.
Judson Beattie, 25, of Salamanca was charged with third-degree aggravated unlicensed operation, uninspected motor vehicle and violation of probation following a traffic stop on Broad Street at 12:28 p.m. Friday. Beattie was arraigned and sent to Cattaraugus County Jail in lieu of $5,000 cash/ bail/$10,000 bond.
A 17-year-old Salamanca youth was charged with petit larceny at 11:06 p.m. Friday. She will appear in Salamanca City Court on Aug. 10 to answer to the charge.
Natasha Johnny John, 24, of Salamanca was charged for violating a city noise ordinance at 4:25 a.m. Saturday. Johnny John will appear in Salamanca City Court on Aug. 10 to answer to the charge.
Tracie M. Brown, 45, of Salamanca was charged with driving while intoxicated and aggravated DWI at 9:53 p.m. Wednesday. Brown allegedly operated a motor vehicle on city streets and then drove into a fence in the Wildwood Bar's parking lot. A breath test confirmed a .25 percent blood alcohol content. She was processed and released with an appearance ticket for Salamanca City Court at a later date.
Robert W. Bosley, 35, of Salamanca was charged with discharging a firearm in the city. He was issued an appearance for Salamanca City Court at a later date.
PENNSYLVANIA STATE POLICE
YOUNGSVILLE, Pa. - Derrick John Weber, 42, of Youngsville, Pa. was charged with making terroristic threats and simple assault at 1:12 a.m. Saturday. Weber allegedly became involved in a verbal altercation with a female, grabbed a pistol and proceeded to point the pistol at the woman's face. Weber was taken into custody, arraigned and committed to Warren County Jail in lieu of $25,000 bail.
BROKENSTRAW, Pa. - Stanley Rakoski, 55, of Youngsville, Pa. was charged with simple assault and harassment at 11 p.m. Tuesday. Warren State Police responded to a call for a domestic dispute in the area of Homestead Drive. Upon arrival, a female victim was observed to have physical injuries due to an altercation. Rakoski was arraigned and taken to Warren County Jail on $25,000 bond.
