Assistance Needed In Case

BEMUS POINT - The Chautauqua County Sheriff's Department is asking for the public's assistance to solve a crime that happened in Bemus Point.

Officials believe two subjects damaged several buildings and vehicles on Lakeside Drive overnight Thursday or early Friday morning. The criminal mischief involved writing of a sexually explicit nature on vehicles and buildings as well as scratching a vehicle.

The department's WeTip program officers rewards of up to $1,000 when an anonymously tip leads to an arrest and conviction. Rewards are paid anonymously to protect the identity of the caller. To offer a tip, call 800-782-7463 or visit www.wetip.com.
