A memorial service for Robert S. Bargar will be held at 9 a.m., Sunday, Aug. 5, in the parlor of The Athenaeum Hotel at Chau-tauqua Institution.
Bargar created the Super Duper supermarket chain and was a former director of wholesale food distributor, S.M. Flickinger Co.
His wife of 57 years, Je'Anne Griffin Bargar, died in September 2006.

He is survived by two sons, David G. and Douglas C.; and two daughters, Nan-cy G. and Alison Bargar Churchill.
