McDonald’s Senior Tour Visits South Hills

BUSTI - The McDonald's Senior Golf Tour traveled to South Hills Country Club on Monday and John Bowman and Bill Hart topped Flight A with plus 11s, using the modified Stableford scoring system.

Paul Olkowski followed with plus 10 and Denny Ayers fired a 74 for the low gross.

In Flight B, Randy Chamberlin led the way with plus 12, Neil Cullen was next with plus 11 and Ed Johnson posted a plus 9. Chamberlin and Cullen tied for low gross honors with 78s.

Dick Joslyn was the leader in Flight C with plus 17, Jim Wirges took second with plus 14 and Bill Davenport was third with plus 11. Joslyn also shot a 76 for low gross.

Wirges also shot his age, a 79.

Gary Simon and Chuck Jackson each shot plus 15s to pace Flight D, Ray Galligan fired a plus 11 and Lynn Butcher's 86 topped the low gross list.

David Nichols shot plus 13 for first in Flight E, Cass Culotta took second with plus 10 and had the low gross with 91 and Red Rumiano had plus 6.

In Flight F, Red Johnson and Dick Ingraham each had plus 7s and Junie Schenck followed with plus 6. Johnson also had the low gross with 101.

Closest-to-the-pin honors went to Russ Vacanti on No. 4, Jerry McConnell on No. 9 and Ed Johnson on No. 15.

The McDonald's Tour moves on to Venango Golf Course on Monday with a 9 a.m. start time.
