Later that evening, the "LINKing Together" banquet and auction will begin at 6 p.m. Seats are still available for the event. Tickets are $50 a person and feature dinner provided by Moon Brook Country Club and the LINKS live and silent auctions. LINKS Charity is continuing to accept donated items for these auctions.
On Tuesday, the LINKS golf scramble begins with an 8 a.m. golf clinic with LPGA professionals followed by a 9 a.m. shotgun start. A limited number of spaces, costing $250 per golfer, are available for individuals and foursomes interested in golfing.
Spearheaded by lead sponsor Truck-Lite and major sponsors Cummins, United Refining Company and ALSTAR Emergency Medical Services, along with associate sponsors, Veracity Benefits, Jamestown Savings Bank and The Bilicki Law Firm, LINKS Charity has once again taken a leadership role in the local fight against breast cancer with a $300,000 pledge toward the purchase of 3-D Breast Tomosynthesis. The technology will compliment LINKS Charity's most recent gift of $275,000 to aid in the diagnosis of breast cancer through the purchase of digital mammography equipment which is now operational in the WCA Center for Imaging & Medical Arts. To date, nearly $880,000 has been contributed by LINKS Charity to aid in the diagnosis, treatment, and care of local cancer patients. By year end, LINKS Charity hopes to surpass the $1 million mark.
