Sheryl D. Rader, 62, of 312 Franklin Ave., Dunkirk, N.Y., passed away Monday (July 30, 2012) in the Buffalo General Hospital, Buffalo, N.Y.
A lifelong area resident she was born September 20, 1949, in Sugar Grove, Pa.
Before her retirement due to ill health, she was em-ployed as an assistant manager for the Dollar General Store in Dunkirk for several years. In earlier years she had worked with her family at AJ Texas Hots in Jamestown and owned a boat canvass company in Mayville for several years.

She was also a member of the Marine Corp. League Auxiliary in Dunkirk.
She will be remembered as a loving and caring person who loved to spend time with family and friends, especially with her grandchildren. She also enjoyed knitting, sewing, crafting and was an excel-lent seamstress and interior decorator. She was an avid fisherman and spent many hours fishing with her hus-band on Lake Erie, Lake Ontario and Onoville Lake.
Surviving are her hus-band, Robert E. Rader, whom she married Sep-tember 9, 1977, her father, Samuel Colera, and step-mother, Joan Colera, of Jamestown, her mother, Au-drey M. Hicks Colera of Jamestown, three stepchild-ren: Mark Rader of Newton, Ala., Tammy Restle of Gal-loway, N.J., and Dana May-nard of Clymer, N.Y., eight grandchildren, several great-grandchildren, three sisters: Vicki Colwell and Shirley Dietz of Jamestown, and Debra Youngberg of Frewsburg, N.Y., a brother Anthony Coffaro of Buf-falo, several nieces and nephews and her best friends, Virginia Pischera, David and Regina Paul and Walter and Fran Morgan.
She was preceded in death by her grandparents John and Minnie Colera, Lawrence and Rheba Hicks, her aunt Dorothy Jones, her uncle David Hicks and a cousin Brenda Dowd.
The funeral will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday in the Lind Funeral Home. The Rev. William Blair, pastor of the New Creation Assem-bly of God, will officiate.
Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday in the funeral home.
