Library To Offer Same-Day Times
Prendergast Library will have the same-day Sunday New York Times available for patrons starting this week. "We are responding to library users' requests in an effort to offer the best public service possible," said Linda Mielke, library director. In the past, the Sunday New York Times arrived by mail the following Tuesday. Prendergast Library, located at 509 Cherry St., is open from 1 to 5 p.m. on Sundays year-round. Chicken Barbecue Today In Stow
STOW - The Magnolia United Methodist Church, 3969 Route 394, north of Stow, will hold a chicken barbecue from 3 to 7 p.m. today. The meal includes chicken from 3C's Catering, macaroni or potato salad, applesauce, roll, homemade pie and beverage. Takeouts will be available. The cost is $8 for adults; $4 for children under 12. Crafts and a bake sale will also be featured. Proceeds will be used for new steps in front of the church.
Music Camp Accepting Signups
The Chautauqua Music Camp is entering its 14th season. Dates for this year's edition are Aug. 13-18, on the grounds of Chautauqua Institution. Students may still apply by visiting the website at Chautauqua Music Camps on a google search. They may also call 661-0557 for more information. Featured at the camp are a middle school band, string orchestra, and high school jazz ensemble. Bus transportation is provided for Jamestown residents.

Blood Drive Set
CASSADAGA - The Cassadaga Fire Department Auxiliary will sponsor a Community Blood Drive on Wednesday. The drive will run from 3 to 6 p.m. at the Cassadaga community Building/Fire Hall on Mill Street in Cassadaga. The auxiliary will choose one participant to receive a gas card. Also be entered to win a trip for four to Disney World through the Community Blood Bank.
