Melissa J. Higgins and Nicholas C. Beckman exchanged wedding vows on April 14, 2012, in Kailua, Hawaii. The Rev. Chris Cain performed the ceremony in Hawaiian tradition. Invocation was by Ed Coda.
The bride is the daughter of Sharon and Charlie Higgins of Kenmore, N.Y., and the granddaughter of Joan Hallett and Katherine Higgins. Her husband is the son of Angie and Brian Beckman of Jamestown, N.Y., and the grandson of Marge Beckman and Mary Ann Corpora.
Michelle Wahl, sister of the bride, was maid of honor. Bridesmaids were Julie Grzelewski, Tina Semertzides, Bridgit Higgins and Nalani Kaai.

The bride is a 2008 graduate of Niagara University. She is employed as a program administrator for the University of Hawaii Residency Programs at Queens Medical Center in Honolulu. Her husband is 2007 graduate of Niagara University. He is employed as a senior practice analyst at Coda Financial Group.
They honeymooned on the island of Lanai, Hawaii.
They are living in Honolulu.
