Registrations are due by Monday for the camps, which will meet at the school from Monday, Aug. 6, through Friday, Aug. 10. The U.S. Sports Institute operates the camps: Offerings include Sports Squirts for children ages 3 to 5, offering an introduction to sports including soccer, tee-ball, basketball and lacrosse from 4:30 to 5:30 p.m. each day. Multi Sports, for youth ages 5 to 14, will include more than 15 sports during the weeklong camp, with times from 9 a.m. to 12:30 p.m., 1 to 4 p.m. or 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. For more information and to register, visit www.clake.org/popup-info.cfm?story=100469.

Shingles Clinic Being Offered

MAYVILLE - Johnson's Village Pharmacy, 99 E. Chautauqua St., Mayville, will sponsor a Zostavax (Shingles) vaccine clinic from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 9. A registered nurse will be on hand to administer the immunizations. Many insurance plans will cover this vaccine, including Medicare D plans. The cost without insurance is $225. If interested in receiving the vaccine, contact the pharmacy at 753-3200. Those who have had chicken pox are more susceptible to getting the shingles virus and the immunization may reduce the incidence and severity of shingles outbreaks. The pharmacy will contact your doctor and insurance to check coverage. Appointments must be made in advance.
