Charlton T. Brown, 84, of 743 Falconer St., formerly of Indiana, Pa., died Saturday July 21, 2012, in his home.
An area resident since 1966, he was born February 7, 1928, in Ernest, Pa., the son of the late Charlton and Margaret Jones Brown.
He was a 20-year veteran of the U.S. Navy, retiring in 1966. He later worked for the former Carborundum as a mold setter for 23 years.

He was a member of Herman Kent Post 777 American Legion, Celeron.
Surviving are two sons: Thomas L. Brown of Atkinson, N.H., and Robert E. Brown of San Marcos, Texas; two daughters: Paula Hall and Wanda Stewart of Jamestown; six grandchildren: Kristie Ling of Randolph, Stephen Hall of Jamestown, Kara Brown of North Carolina, Matthew Stewart of Leander, Texas, Joshua and Elizabeth Brown, both of San Marcos; two great-grandchildren: Tanner and Averi Ling of Randolph; a brother, David Brown of Indiana, Pa., and a sister: Betty Nanni of Creekside, Pa.
Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife the former Anna R. (Murdick) Brown, whom he married Sept.6, 1949, and who died Nov.22, 1995, two brothers, William and Robert Brown, and a sister, Fay Stenman.
The funeral will be held at 1 p.m. Friday in the Lind Funeral Home. The Rev. Daniel Rumfelt will officiate. Burial will be in Sunset Hill Cemetery.
Friends will be received from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Friday in the funeral home.
