Police Investigate North Main Street Incident; Victim Taken To ECMC

Jamestown police are investigating a stabbing early Sunday morning near 810 N. Main St.

A person was stabbed during an argument around 3 a.m. Sunday in the street. Police report the person was stabbed in the abdomen and was able to make it back to his home a short distance away and get medical help. He was taken to WCA Hospital and was later taken to the Erie County Medical Center for treatment of his injuries, which police report do not appear to be life-threatening.

Investigators are asking anyone who may have information to contact them at 483-7537 or leave an anonymous tip at 483-8477. All calls and tips will remain confidential.
