The Post-Journal

A Jamestown Police Department patrol quickly caught a man they say robbed a man at knife point early Sunday morning.

Brandon Sparks, 22, of Jamestown was charged with first-degree robbery and fifth-degree criminal possession of stolen property. According to a police report, officers were driving through the area near Falconer and Bowen streets when officers saw two suspicious men standing near the intersection. Officers checked the men and found that Sparks was robbing the other. Officers report finding some of the stolen property, including cash and a necklace, in Sparks' possession.

Sparks was arraigned in Jamestown City Court and taken to the Chautauqua County Jail.

The man who was robbed was not injured.
