The Jamestown Police Department deployed officers on a bike patrol during a late-night shift Tuesday. The officers focused on the downtown area, making six arrests within the first four hours of the shift.
Two individuals were issued appearance tickets for consuming alcoholic beverages in a public place, two more were arrested on outstanding warrants, and one was charged with disorderly conduct when he was observed urinating in a public place with several citizens in the area.
There was also one subject who was arrested and charged with driving while intoxicated. Bike patrol officers observed a vehicle playing music loudly and notified a patrol unit in the area who then stopped the vehicle. The operator was found to be intoxicated and was also found to be in possession of marijuana.
