The LakewoodChautauqua South Rotary Club has named Elisabeth Meyer has been chosen as the Student of the Month for June.
Elisabeth, the daughter of Rebekka Meyer-Mertens of Lakewood and Jochen Meyer of Wexford, Pa., is in fifth grade in Mrs. Piazza's class at Southwestern Elementary School. Her favorite subjects are math and science. She enjoys reading, ballet, skiing, sailing and playing the violin. Elisabeth hopes to pursue a career as a veterinarian, ballerina or teacher.
She was nominated to attend the 2012 Junior National Young Leaders Conference in Washington.
