CHAUTAUQUA COUNTY SHERIFF'S DEPARTMENT
HANOVER - Matthew D. Hughes, 31, of Irving was charged with driving an all-terrain vehicle on a public highway, unregistered ATV, uninsured ATV, driving while intoxicated and DWI per se, blood alcohol content of .08 percent or higher at 1:31 a.m. Saturday on Allegany Road. Sheriff's deputies observed an ATV being operated on Allegany Road and after further investigation determined Hughes to be the operator. He was released with tickets to appear in Town of Hanover Court at a later date.
HANOVER - Heather I. Roundpoint, 23, of Buffalo was charged with failure to stop at a red light, third-degree aggravated unlicensed operation, driving while intoxicated, DWI per se, blood alcohol content .08 percent or higher and unlawful possession of marijuana at 3:03 a.m. Saturday on Allegany Road. Sheriff's deputies observed a vehicle fail to stop at a red light at the intersection of Allegany Road and Routes 5 & 20. After further investigation, Roundpoint was determined to be the operator. A check of Roundpoint's driver's license showed her driving privileges were suspended in New York. She was released with tickets to appear in Town of Hanover Court at a later date.
ELLERY - Nathaniel D. Rappole, 32, of 738 Buffalo St., Jamestown, was charged with aggravated unlicensed operation at 10:26 p.m. Friday. Sheriff's deputies stopped Rappole for speeding on Route 430 and an investigation revealed that his privilege to drive in New York was suspended on Aug. 1, 2006, and then revoked on Aug. 19, 2006. He was taken into custody and later released with appearance tickets for Town of Ellery Court.
JAMESTOWN POLICE DEPARTMENT
Alessi L. Lopez, 19, of Jamestown was taken into custody Saturday at 7:45 p.m. at 150 Barrows St. on an outstanding bench warrant. Lopez was released on bail and will appear in Jamestown City Court at a later date.
Kody M. Johnson, 19, of Jamestown was charged with four-degree criminal mischief at 3:28 a.m. Saturday. Officers were sent to 58 Bemus St. for a reported domestic dispute. Upon arrival it was determined that Johnson shattered a window in the residence. Johnson was taken to Jamestown City Jail.
Carmello M. Mazzurco, 56, of West Ellicott, was taken into custody at 3:45 p.m. Saturday on outstanding Jamestown City Court warrants. Mazzurco had been charged with second-degree burglary, third-degree assault and second-degree menacing May 9.
LAKEWOOD-BUSTI POLICE DEPARTMENT
Rafael J. Morales of 100 E. Eighth St., Jamestown, and Lecithes Lozada, of the same address, were both charged with petit larceny following an incident at Wal-Mart on Friday. The two, along with a third suspect, allegedly stole $385.74 in merchandise from the store. They will appear in Town of Busti Court on Thursday.
WESTFIELD POLICE DEPARTMENT
Justin Baez, 21, of 7 W. Pearl St., Westfield was charged with fourth-degree grand larceny, fourth-degree criminal possession of stolen property and two counts of seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance at 7:40 p.m. Tuesday. Westfield Police responded to Tops Markets on East Main Street for a reported larceny from a vehicle, which was parked in the store's parking lot. Officers reviewed video footage and after canvassing the area were able to locate Baez, who allegedly stole items from the vehicle totaling more than $1,000. Baez was arraigned in Village of Westfield Court and remanded to Chautauqua County Jail on no bail.
CATTARAUGUS COUNTY SHERIFF'S DEPARTMENT
LITTLE VALLEY - Michael S. Lecceardone, 38, of Little Valley was taken into custody at 5 p.m. Thursday on a violation of probation issued from Cattaraugus County Court. He was taken to Cattaraugus County Jail and held with no bail. He is due back in court at a later date.
DAYTON - Lisa M. Miller, 40, of 11699 Townline Road, Dayton, was charged with animal cruelty at 7:30 p.m. Thursday. Miller allegedly moved out of her residence and left a ferret, which subsequently died. Miller was issued an appearance ticket and is due in Town of Dayton Court on Aug. 2.
