Music In The Park Set
SOUTH DAYTON - Music in the Park will be held from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. Wednesday in the village park gazebo with music by Kokomo Time. The summer music program is sponsored by the towns of Dayton and Villenova, the village of South Dayton and the state Council of the Arts Decentralization Regrant Program administered by the Cattaraugus Arts Council. Anyone attending should bring lawn chairs for seating.
Dickson Park Group To Meet
The Lillian Dickson Park group will meet at 6:30 p.m. Wednesday at the park, located at the corner of Falconer and Bowen streets. The group will plan its block party, which is scheduled at the park on Saturday, July 21, and will discuss fundraising and playground designs.
Southwestern Board To Meet
The Southwestern Central School Board of Education will hold an organizational/regular meeting Tuesday at 7:30 p.m. in the board of education room at the middle school. The purpose of the meeting is to conduct school business.
Lakewood Board To Meet Monday
LAKEWOOD - The village of Lakewood board of trustees will meet Monday at 6 p.m. for a work session, followed by a regular meeting at 6:30 p.m. The public is invited to attend.

Food Cupboard To Reopen July 18
The food cupboard at Holy Trinity Lutheran Church will be closed Wednesday and Friday while the church hosts Vacation Bible School. The food cupboard will reopen Wednesday, July 18 and Friday, July 20 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
Summer Book Sale Starts Friday
FLUVANNA - The Fluvanna Free Library, 3532 Fluvanna Ave. Ext., Fluvanna, will hold a summer book sale from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Friday, July 13, 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., July 14, and a bag sale from noon to 3 p.m., July 15. Bags will cost $3 on July 15. On July 14, the library will also host a bake sale. Items for sale include hardcover and paperback books for adults and children, including fiction and non-fiction books as well as books on tape, DVDs, magazines and puzzles. Many videos will be sold for 50 cents. Items range in price from 10 cents to $3. For more information, call the library at 487-1773.
Bigfoot To Make Appearance
DUNKIRK - The monster truck Bigfoot will be at the Valley Tire Company on Friday and Saturday, July 13-14, as part of the Valley Tire Company, 47 Lake Shore Drive West, Dunkirk, for the company's annual tent sale.
