Library Board To Meet July 11
BUSTI - The Hazeltine Public Library board will meet at 7 p.m. Wednesday, in the library. The public is welcome to attend.
Driver Safety Program Set
AARP Driver Safety Program will be held July 14 at Mount Moriah Masonic Lodge 3458 Baker St. Extension, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Lunch will be available for a donation. Limited seating is left. This program qualifies participants for a 10 percent discount on their insurance for a three-year period or point reduction. For reservations contact Karen at 665-4361.
Amish Trail
Event Planned
LEON - The second annual cruise-in and garden tour along the Amish Trail will be at 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday, July 14, in the Leon Historic Church, at the four corners, Route 62, Leon. Registration is from 11 a.m to 1 p.m. and the fee is $5. Participants should take their favorite summertime ride, with antique or classic and clubs welcome to participate. Featured will be 50/50 giveaways and a Chinese auction. Prizes include a flat screen TV and $100. Lunch will also be available. South Valley Sale To Be Held
SOUTH VALLEY - The town of South Valley is holding a rummage and bake sale from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, July 14. In addition to items for sale, there will be homemade baked goods. The sale is being held at the South Valley Town Hall, 11888 Sawmill Run Road.
Historical Society Sets Meeting
CLYMER - The regular meeting of the Clymer Area Historical Society will be held Monday, July 16, at 7:30 p.m. at the Haverkemp Huis.
Jammin' In The Park Slated
KENNEDY - Jammin' in the Park hosted by Kennedy Pride is set for Saturday, July 14 from 6 to 8 p.m. at Hallquist Park on Route 394 in Kennedy. Sunny Side Up will provide entertainment. Guests are asked to bring a lawn chair. Refreshments will be for sale.
Church To Host Children's Event
The Kidder Memorial United Methodist Church will host ''Sky,'' a summer event for fourth- to sixth-grade children, from 9:30 a.m. to noon Monday, July 16, to Friday, July 20. Lunch will be provided at 11:45 a.m. and family members and friends are welcome to attend during lunch. The youth will also join an international missions effort to help stop malaria in the African country of Miali. More than 1 million mosquito nets will be sent to protect the children there.
