Area residents searching for spiritual guidance may want to stop by the Seneca Allegany Casino Event Center on Saturday at 7 p.m. Sylvia Browne, a world-renowned spiritual teacher, psychic, author, lecturer and researcher in the field of parapsychology is bringing her one-woman show to Chautauqua County.
"It's my 50th anniversary tour," Browne told The Post-Journal. "I'll be talking to people, doing a meditation, and I'll answer about 300 questions from the audience."
The show, which offers the audience the ability to interact with Browne, is an opportunity to have questions answered that allow guests to learn how to make themselves well.

"I love helping people," said Browne. "But, I'm no doctor; I'm talking about mentally and spiritually. I talk about how to protect themselves from negativity, how to surround themselves with the white light of the Holy Spirit and to stay away from negative people."
Browne's abilities first manifested themselves when she was a child, she said. Since then, she has used those abilities to help countless people around the world.
"I was born into it," said Browne. "I've always been this way, and my grandmother was also a great psychic in Kansas City, Mo. So, I think it's in my DNA."
Browne's son, Chris Dufresne, was also gifted with psychic abilities from birth, according to Browne.
"It's in our genetics, so Chris is gifted like me," she said. "I'm absolutely proud of him, and he is my heart."
In an effort to help as many people as possible, Browne has written a book almost every year. She currently has 65 published books and is a No. 1 New York Times best-selling author. The subjects of the books range from meditations, prophecies, psychic healing, dreams, God and creation, the afterlife, spirit guides, astrology, and more.
"I love to write," said Browne. "When I'm sitting quiet, I just start to write."
Browne is currently working on three more books that will be released around November.
"One is 'What People Have Said to Me Over the Years.' Another is 'The Life of Jesus' and 'What Celebrities Did in Their Past Lives,'" said Browne.
Browne has also appeared as a guest on many television programs such as, "The Montel Williams Show" and "Larry King Live." One of her most recent appearances was on Kelly Ripa's "Live! With Kelly" on Tuesday.
Browne strives to help her clients gain control of their lives. She believes that those who are given guidance during difficult times will find peace of mind.
"We have a world that is very depressed," said Browne. "When people are in sorrow or disarray they think it's forever. But, if you give people a light at the end of the tunnel, then they can make it."
