Free Bluegrass Music Tonight

CELORON - Backwoods Bluegrass will host free bluegrass music at the Celoron American Legion on today from 7 to 10 p.m.

Book Signing To Be Held In Dunkirk

Ellington Youth To Hold Car Wash

ELLINGTON - Ellington youth will hold a car wash on Saturday in The Resource Center, Ellington. Donations will be accepted and refreshments will be served. Proceeds will be used to construct a skate park.

Rummage Sale Set For Saturday

LAKEWOOD - Gloria Dei Lutheran Church, 35 W. Fairmount Ave., Lakewood, will host a rummage sale from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday, with housewares, clothes, toys, furniture, books and other items. All proceeds from the rummage sale will benefit the ELCA World Hunger Fund, Joint Neighborhood Project and the Lake Chautauqua Lutheran Center.

Meetings Set For Watershed Project

Jeff Diers, the Chautauqua County Watershed coordinator, would like to remind residents of the Goose Greek and Dutch Hollow Creek watersheds to attend two public meetings regarding the stream-restoration project for the Goose Creek and Dutch Hollow Watersheds. The Goose Creek portion of the project will be the focus of a meeting held at 6:30 p.m. Monday at the Hewes BOCES Center in Ashville. The Dutch Hollow portion of the project will be presented at a meeting to be held at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday at the Village Casino in Bemus Point.

Urban Renewal Agency To Meet

The Jamestown Urban Renewal Agency will meet at 3:30 p.m. today in the mayor's conference room on the fourth floor of Jamestown City Hall. The public is welcome to attend.

Gerry Veterans To Meet Saturday

GERRY - The Gerry Veterans' Memorial Day Committee will meet at 10 a.m. Saturday at the Gerry Town Hall to discuss concerns, complaints and changes residents would like to see made to the Memorial Day parade and services in Gerry. Those unable to attend can send a signed letter to the Gerry Veterans' Memorial Day Committee, Gerry Town Hall, P.O. Box 15, Gerry, NY 14740.
