Jamestown Police have released the identity of the pedestrian was killed Monday.
Terry T. Harper, 43, of Jamestown was killed when he walked into the path of a southbound vehicle on Washington Street at approximately 9:12 p.m.
Harper was transported to WCA Hospital where he died as a result of the injuries he sustained. The operator of the vehicle was not injured and the investigation is continuing. Charges are not expected to be placed against the operator of the vehicle.
All four lanes of traffic on Washington Street between 12th and 14th streets were closed after the accident.
Jamestown Police were assisted at the scene by members of the Chautauqua County Accident Reconstruction Team.
