Free Bluegrass Music Tonight

CELORON - There will be free bluegrass music at the Celoron American Legion today from 7 to 10 p.m. Bluegrass musicians are welcome to take a turn at the mic. Backwoods Bluegrass will be the host.

Vendors Sought For Flea Market

Healing Word Ministries, 1006 W. Third St., Jamestown, is hosting its inaugural flea market/craft sale Aug. 11 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the church. At this time, the church is looking for vendors to rent space at the event for $20 per table. The church would like reservations by July 30. For more information or to rent a space, contact C. Youth Science Fair Set For Friday

The annual Emmanuel Baptist Church Youth Group science fair, sponsored by Cummins Inc. Jamestown Engine Plant, will take place at 6 p.m. on Friday at Love Elementary School. The public is welcome to attend.

Boosters Dinner Set For Friday

FALCONER - A spaghetti dinner to benefit the Falconer High School Baseball Boosters will be held from 5 to 8 p.m. Friday in the Falconer High School cafeteria, using the gymnasium entrance near the bus garage. The dinner will feature homemade sauce and meatballs. Tickets are $8 for adults and $4 for children. Takeout orders are available.

Veterans Club To Continue Dinners

The ILS Veterans Club, 364 Fluvanna Ave., home to American Legion Post 149, AMVETS Post 726 and VFW Post 53, will continue serving dinners from 5 to 8 p.m. Fridays. A new expanded menu is available, including haddock served battered, broiled, or pan-fried, along with coleslaw and choice of potato. The club also has chicken and seafood alfredo. An improved salad bar with homemade soup and desserts is also available, and takeout orders are welcome. For more information, call 664-7538.

Police Commission To Meet Today

SALAMANCA - Chairman William J. Ferguson has called a special meeting of the Police Commission to be held today at 4 p.m. in the conference room of the Salamanca Municipal Building. The purpose of the meeting will be to discuss personnel issues. Formal action may be taken. The next regular meeting of the Police Commission has been rescheduled for June 27 at 5 p.m. in the conference room.

Bob Evans To Host Fundraiser

The Relief Zone will take part in a community fundraiser with Bob Evans restaurant in Jamestown from 6 a.m. to 10 p.m. Saturday. The restaurant will donate 15 percent of all proceeds to The Relief Zone when guests present a voucher with their check. Guests can receive a voucher from any student that attends the agency, any Robert H. Jackson Elementary School student or by calling The Relief Zone at 569-2614.

Kennedy Library To Hold Book Sale

KENNEDY - The Kennedy Free Library will hold its annual book sale from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday at the Kennedy Fire Hall. There will be a bake sale and can drive to benefit the library.
