Friendly's Fun Day Is Sunday
Centaur Stride will be taking part in Friendly's Fun Day on Sunday at the Friendly's Restaurant in Brooklyn Square, Jamestown. The restaurant will present 15 percent of all proceeds that day to Centaur Stride when guests present a voucher with their check. Guests can receive a voucher before visiting the restaurant by sending an email to sheilam254@gmail.com or a text message to 640-7352.
Gospel Concert Set For June 16
A gospel concert by Maurice Brown Mountain Railroad at the Seventh-Day Adventist Church, 50 N. Washington St., Randolph will be held on Saturday, June 16 at 7 p.m. A love offering will be collected.
Grants Available For Landlords
Grant funding is available for landlords anywhere in Chautauqua County whose rental properties were built before 1978 and might contain lead-based paint. The funding is through HUD's Office of Health Homes and Lead Hazard Control. Eligible applicants must be landlords who rent to tenants of moderate income and who have a child under age 6 that lives in the apartment or spends at least six hours per week there. Property taxes must be current and the property must be insured. These funds can be used to replace old painted windows and doors and correct other problems with failing lead-based paint. JHS Class Of 1977 To Gather
The Jamestown High School Class of 1977 will be holding its 35th class reunion on July 27-28. A golf outing at South Hills Country Club will begin at 11:30 a.m. on Friday, followed by a casual mixer at Roberto's at 7:30 p.m. A dinner-dance will be held at the Frewsburg Legion on Saturday night with cocktail hour beginning at 5:30 p.m., dinner at 7 p.m., and DJ Carl Restivo starting at 8:30 p.m. The new website for Class of '77 contains all of the information and the registration form: JHS1977.weebly.com. Lakewood Board To Meet Monday
LAKEWOOD - The village of Lakewood board of trustees will hold their regular meeting at 6:30 p.m. Monday in the village board room. A work session will precede the meeting at 6 p.m.
Fire Commission Cancels Meeting
SALAMANCA - The regular meeting of the Salamanca Fire Commission for June has been canceled. The next meeting will be held Tuesday, July 10 at 7 p.m.
Tuesday Meeting Set For Board
The Southwestern Central School Board of Education will hold a regular meeting on Tuesday at 7:30 p.m. in the board of education room at the middle school. The purpose of the meeting is to conduct school business.
