The Post-Journal

FALCONER - Citizen complaints of drug trafficking in Ellicott have led to charges against two Jamestown men.

Ulus C. Battle, 25, of Jamestown and Terin L. Butler, 21, of Jamestown were both charged with unlawful possession of marijuana and seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance following a search at 1980 E. Main St., Ellicott, on Friday. Battle was additionally charged with third-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance and first-degree criminal nuisance.

According to a police report, members of the Southern Tier Regional Drug Task Force executed the search warrant at 8:45 p.m. Friday. Officers immediately found marijuana and crack cocaine, which resulted in the charges. The additional charges were placed on Battle after another search led to a seizure of larger quantities of crack cocaine.

Butler will be in court later. Battle was arraigned and taken to the Chautauqua County Jail pending further court action.

The investigation stemmed from citizen complaints of narcotics trafficking from the area.
