Prayer Can Make A Difference In Jamestown

June 3, 2012
The Post-Journal

To the Readers' Forum:

I was reading in my quiet time at 3 a.m. on this beautiful Memorial Day in Jamestown in the Gospel of John 17:21 where Jesus prayed for us before He ascended back into heaven. Jesus said, "My prayer for all of them is that they will be one, just as you and I are one...."(NLT).

I have the honor to pray with godly pastors every Tuesday at 9a.m. at the Gateway Center; Wednesday at Kiatone; and the First Thursday of the month with pastors in Buffalo. Plus our church, Martin Road Christian Fellowship, had the blessing of being a part of the "Walk for Jesus" at Chadakoin Park.

Everywhere I go I hear pastors praying for unity. Let me encourage all pastors and spiritual leaders to come meet with us at the Gateway Center every Tuesday at 9 a.m. Why can't we put aside our denominational differences for two hours and pray for a great move of God across our city. Pastors of Jamestown, don't you feel as I do that we would be getting in on what Jesus prayed for us to do 2000 years ago?

Judy and I love Jamestown and feel so blessed being here. I pray that all pastors in Jamestown who love Jesus make this time a priority every week on Tuesdays at 9 a.m. at the Gateway Center. Only sincere, heartfelt prayer will make a difference in Jamestown. God bless.
