Servicemen Sought For Parade

BUSTI - The Busti Hamlet Development Association is trying to find all current and former Busti residents who served in the U.S. Armed Forces. They are invited to join together Monday to ride in the Busti Memorial Day Parade on a seated trailer-style float. Veterans can attend in uniform or street clothes, with or without their ribbons and awards. The parade will line up at 8:30 a.m. in the parking lot of the New Beginnings Restaurant on Sugar Grove Road. The parade will begin at 9 a.m. After the memorial service, breakfast will be served at the Busti Fire Hall. Float organizers are looking to find out how many veterans will ride on the float. Free Dinner And Movie This Friday

CASSADAGA - The Cassadaga Community Baptist Church, 25 Maple Ave., Cassadaga, will hold a free dinner and movie night Friday in the fellowship hall. The dinner will be served at 6 p.m. and the movie "Beyond the Blackboard" will follow at 7 p.m. The dinner and movie are free and open to the public.

Catt. County Museum To Open

MACHIAS - The Cattaraugus County Museum, Stone House first floor, 9824 Route 16, Machias, will be open from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on the third Saturday of each month until October. Museum hours are 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Tuesday through Friday. For more information, call 353-8200.

DJDC To Host Cash Mob Friday

The Downtown Jamestown Development Corporation will host a cash mob event at The Cherry Lounge, located at the corner of West Fourth and Cherry streets, at 5 p.m. Friday. DJDC officials ask those attending to bring $20 to spend or any amount they would like to spend. A cash mob is where a small business, date, and time are selected and then the community is invited to that specific business and encouraged to spend a dollar amount to stimulate business and awareness of small businesses in the community. Future cash mobs will be announced on the DJDC's Facebook page, the DJDC website at www.discoverjamestown.com and through an email distribution list. For more information, call the DJDC at 664-2477.

School Board To Meet Tonight

SALAMANCA - The Salamanca City Central School District's board of education will meet tonight at 6:30 p.m. in the Large Group Instruction Room.

Boy Scouts To Host Fundraiser

Boy Scout Troop 131 is holding a community fundraiser at Bob Evans from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. Saturday. The troop is using the money to support an educational camping trip to Gettysburg. In order to have the troop receive benefit from a purchase, a flyer must be presented at the time of check out. To receive a copy of the flyer, call Don Shriver, scoutmaster, at 763-5678.

Rummage And Bake Sale Friday

DEWITTVILLE -The Dewittville-Hartfield United Methodist Church will hold a rummage and bake sale from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Friday. Proceeds will benefit the church general fund and also the United Methodist Women's group ministries.
