Library Announces Summer Hours

Bemus Point Library officials have announced their summer hours. The library will be open Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., Wednesday 1 to 5 p.m., Thursday evening 6 to 8 p.m. and Saturday 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Ellington Fire Hall To Host Sale

ELLINGTON - The Ellington United Methodist Women will host a rummage sale from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Friday, with a bag sale from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday, at the Ellington Fire Hall. For more information, call Joyce Rhinehart at 287-3461.

Mother/Daughter Banquet Set

LITTLE VALLEY - The First Congregational Church of Little Valley will host its annual mother/daughter banquet at 6 p.m. Saturday, May 12. A ham dinner will be served by the men of the church. A traditional tribute to mothers and daughters will follow. Entertainment will be provided by the Village Dancers. The cost is $6 for women; $4 for girls under age 10. Reservations are required; call 338-3360 or 938-6742 by Monday. All are welcome to attend

Applications Now Being Accepted

Applications for funds are being accepted for the purpose of enhancing local services for youth having a serious emotional disturbance (SED), who have emotional and behavioral disabilities, who are receiving special education services, are in and out of home placement through juvenile justice or the foster care system, or who are homeless. Zonta Club To Assemble Kits

The Zonta Club of Jamestown will be assembling birthing kits in early May to send to Third World or underserved countries. Zonta is requesting donations toward their project of the following goods: unopened boxes of medical gloves, quart-sized Ziplock bags, bar soap, gauze pads and old suitcases on wheels. Monetary donations would also be greatly accepted. These kits are used to protect mother and baby in the birthing process in remote areas of the world where people are not likely to have a clean birthing place or practice. Rummage Sale This Weekend

LEON - The Cherry Creek/Leon United Methodist Church will have a spring rummage sale on Friday, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. and Saturday from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.. There will be a bake sale and bag sale Saturday. Please call 296-5213 if you wish to donate new or good used items.

Thule Lodge To Host First Fish Fry

BEMUS POINT - The Thule Lodge, 4123 Pancake Hill Road, will hold its first Friday night fish fry from 5 to 7 p.m. Friday. Fish will be prepared in one of three ways, breaded, boiled or baked. The alternate meal will be chicken and biscuits. The price per meal includes the meal and coffee and tax. The public is welcome to attend.
