Buffamante Whipple Buttafaro P.C. has promoted James C. Alexander IV to manager.
Alexander is a 2004 cum laude graduate of Mercyhurst College with a bachelor's degree in accounting. He joined the firm as a staff accountant in November 2004 and became a certified public accountant in February 2007.
Alexander performs and supervises audit engagements for not-for-profit and governmental organizations, manufacturing entities, school districts, employee benefit plans and rural electric cooperatives. As a manager, he will be responsible for directing these engagements, which includes preparing and reviewing work papers, financial statements and reporting to the entity's middle to upper management. Alexander is also responsible for training and supervising other accountants at the firm.

Alexander's professional memberships include the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the Pennsylvania Institute of Certified Public Accountants. He also serves on the board of directors for Family Service of the Chautauqua Region.
