LAKEWOOD - Chautauqua Avenue in Lakewood is a go-to shopping destination for area residents to find just about any item.
Now, people can visit the business district to have their portrait taken by a professional photographer.
Priceless Studios Photography, 122 Chautauqua Ave., Lakewood, is the new business operated by Jenn Price, who has an associate degree in the science of digital photography from the International Academy of Design and Technology in Tampa, Fla. Mrs. Price will be hosting a grand-opening celebration where visitors can receive refreshments and enter to win one of three photography packages which are valued at $200 each. The grand opening will start with a preview from 5 to 8 p.m. Friday, April 27, then will be followed by the grand opening from 1 to 4 p.m. Saturday, April 28, and from 2 to 4 p.m. Sunday, April 29.

Mrs. Price said she started taken photos while she was in high school and has always had an interest in the profession, including even dressing up one year as a photographer for Halloween.
''I have had a passion for photography since grade school and knew I wanted to make it my career when I was older,'' she said. ''I have always enjoyed working with people and celebrating their special moments with them. Baby photos, senior portraits, family photos and wedding photography has allowed me to not only celebrate new phases of life with people, but also to build lasting relationships and be able to call them friends. We want to be there every step of the way for your family to capture those special memories. Time is an unstoppable force, but photographs allow us to freeze a moment of time and that truly is priceless.''
Mrs. Price said with the new studio, she will be able to expand her portrait business.
''Weddings is what I'm known for, but having a studio will help me with taking people's portraits,'' she said. ''It is difficult without a studio because you have to do it usually outside and you never know what the weather will be like, and you definitely can't do anything outside during the winter.''
With the controlled environment of the studio, Mrs. Price will be able to provide a relaxing atmosphere to customers looking to have their portrait done.

Mrs. Price said her husband, Nick, and her family have helped her greatly to remodel the business and encouraged her to pursue her passion of owning her own studio.
