B-25 Bomber On Display Today

A B-25 bomber that recently participated in the 70th and final reunion of the Doolittle Reunion will be at the Chautauqua County Airport in Jamestown from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. today. While visitors can't walk into the plane, they can get close as well as looking inside without climbing in and take photos. There is no charge. The bomber will be on its way from Dayton, Ohio, back to Daytona, Fla.

Chicken Dinner Set For Saturday

CHERRY CREEK - The Cherry Creek/Leon United Methodist Church will hold a chicken and biscuit dinner beginning at 4:30 p.m. on Saturday. The meal includes beverage and home made desserts. The cost is a donation of $8. Family pricing is available.

Three Towns Set For Cleanup Day

The towns of Gerry and Charlotte and the village of Sinclairville will hold an Earth Day cleanup starting at 9 a.m. Saturday, in the Sinclairville Fire Hall parking lot. Gloves and bags will be furnished and there will be coffee and donuts for those participating. Anyone volunteering is asked to wear closed-toed shoes and bright, reflective clothing.

Saturday Dinner Set In Panama

PANAMA - The Panama United Methodist Church will be holding a pasta buffet dinner from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m. Saturday in the church fellowship hall. The cost is by donation and take-out orders will be available. Panama United Methodist Church is located at 22 E. Main St., Panama. Proceeds will help pay to send children to camp. For more information, call the church office at 782-4031.

Boy Scouts To Collect Cans

ASHVILLE - Panama/Ashville Boy Scout Troop 141 is having a pop can and returnable bottle drive from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., Saturday at the Chautauqua Lake Auction and Banquet Center, formerly the Ashville Fire Department Training Center. The proceeds will help support troop activities throughout the year. Pickup is available by calling 763-9648, 763-4337 or 483-6041.

Poland To Hold Cleanup Event

POLAND - The town of Poland will hold cleanup day, Saturday, from 9 a.m. to noon, rain or shine. All residents are urged to clean up their yards and bring lawn debris to the town hall parking lot on Church Street in Kennedy. All other junk should be taken to the Town of Poland Highway Department on Grubb Hill Road. No food garbage, appliances or tires will be accepted.

Railroaders To Hold Auction

Independent Railroaders will hold an auction Friday night in First Lutheran Church, 120 Chandler St., Jamestown. Doors will open at 6:30 p.m., followed by the program at 7 p.m. The number of sellers will be limited. For more information on selling items, contact Dave Shaw at 763-6211 or Dave Eggleston with an approximate count on the number of items you will take. Like items should be bundled together and minimum bids used. Old tags from past years should be removed.
