A headline showing our county to be one of the unhealthiest in the state?
Not really.
Take a trip through neighborhoods in Jamestown and be surprised by the numbers of young mothers, some teenagers no doubt, pushing strollers with babies and smoking. Smokes are $8 are pack. They have possibly just come from a dwelling you just saw with four or five children and one or two adult men sitting on the porch.
No exercise, bad health habits, "junk" foods, obesity, and New York State is about to increase cash benefits to welfare recipients twice this year. Does this make for a healthier state?
Again, I could be wrong.
