Cemetery Lot Owners To Meet
FREWSBURG - The annual Ivory Cemetery lot owners meeting will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday in the Ivory Baptist Church, Frewsburg. Anyone interested in the care and operation of the cemetery is invited to attend. Refreshments will be serviced.
Spring Herring Breakfast Set
FREWSBURG - The Frewsburg American Legion will host a spring herring breakfast from 8 to 11 a.m. Sunday. The cost is $7 for herring; $6 for ham or sausage and eggs. Proceeds will benefit post projects.
Gerry Rodeo Group To Meet
GERRY - The Gerry Rodeo City Senior Citizens group will meet at noon Friday in the Gerry United Methodist Church. Those attending are asked to bring a dish of food to pass and their own table settings. Sue Colgrove will be the guest speaker on St. Susan Center. New members are welcome.
L.V. Sportsmen's Show To Begin
LITTLE VALLEY - The Little Valley Volunteer Fire Department will hold a sportsmen's show Saturday and Sunday at the Cattaraugus County Fairgrounds on Route 353 in Little Valley. The show will take place from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Saturday and from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Sunday. Admission is $5 with more than 150 tables available from which to buy, sell, trade and browse. Refreshments will be available and a Cattaraugus County pistol permit clerk will be available both days for the convenience of Cattaraugus County residents. SINCLAIRVILLE - The village of Sinclairville will hold a Village Board meeting Thursday at 7 p.m. in the village office at 8 Lester St., Sinclairville. The public is welcome to attend.
Scholarship For Nurses Created
An annual scholarship has been established in memory of Helen Delores Johnson, a lifelong resident of Chautauqua County, wife of the late Milton E. Johnson and a registered nurse. Mrs. Johnson was proud of her chosen profession and maintained an active nursing license into her 80s. A scholarship is being offered to second-year Jamestown Community College nursing students to support tuition expenses. Interested students should contact JCC's Office of Financial Aid or the college's School of Nursing for more information.
Tom Reed To Speak Saturday
LAKEWOOD - A town hall meeting with U.S. Rep. Tom Reed, R-Corning, will be held from 8 to 9 a.m. Saturday at the Lakewood American Legion, 174 Chautauqua Ave., Lakewood. The True Americans Restoring America will host the meeting. If re-elected, Reed will represent Chautauqua County when new congressional maps take effect Jan. 1. The meeting is open to the public.
