Easter Cantata Set For Sunday

PANAMA - "This We Believe" (Christ Died. Christ Arose. Christ Will Come Again) an Easter Cantata by the Panama United Methodist Celebration Choir, will be performed at 10:15 a.m. Easter Sunday. The public is welcome to attend. Other events Easter morning will be an early morning service by the youth of the church at 7:30 a.m.

All-You-Can-Eat Breakfast Sunday

ELLERY - The Ellery Center Volunteer Fire Department will host an all-you-can-eat breakfast buffet from 8 a.m. to noon Easter Sunday. The breakfast will include eggs, homefries, toast, pancakes, french toast, ham, sausage, sausage gravy and biscuits, fruit, coffee and juice. The cost is $6 for adults; $5.50 for senior citizens and $5 for children ages 10 and under.

McDonald's To Hold Egg Event

The Foote Avenue McDonald's will host its Easter EGGstravaganza from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday. During the event, an Easter egg will be placed inside each Happy Meal or Mighty Kids meal that is purchased. Each Easter egg will contain a prize, with one youth winning a new bicycle.

PV Choir To Present Cantata

SOUTH DAYTON - The Pine Valley Community Choir will present its Easter Cantata, "A Walk to Remember," at 7:30 p.m. tonight in the Pine Valley High School auditorium. An offering will be taken.

Sunrise Service Set For Sunday

The Rev. Natalie Hanson, Christ First United Methodist Church pastor, will lead an Easter sunrise Communion service at 7 a.m. Sunday in Palestine Park, Chautauqua Institution.

Easter Event Set For Today

Several community pastors will be involved in a service to remember the ''Seven Last Words of Christ'' from noon to 3 p.m. today in the Emmanuel Baptist Church, 53 W. 23rd St., Jamestown. The Rev. Natalie Hanson, Christ First United Methodist Church pastor, will speak on ''My God, my God, why hast thou forsaken me?''

Thrift Store To Hold Bag Sale

The St. James Thrift Store, 141 Institute St., Jamestown, will hold a $2 buy one-get one free bag sale through April. All items, from a last call on winter items, a new supply of spring and summer clothing are now available. The thrift store is open each Wednesday and Friday from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Volunteers are on hand to help with purchases. Proceeds are used to help those in need in the community.

Easter Service Set For Sunday

FREWSBURG - The Wheeler Hill United Methodist Church will hold a sunrise service on Engstrom Road, Frewsburg, at 7:30 a.m. Easter Sunday, followed by a continental breakfast. An Easter service will be held at 9:30 a.m. There is no Sunday school.
