Easter Program To Be Held Friday
The Christian & Missionary Alliance Church, corner of West Third and Lakin streets, Jamestown, will host an Easter eggstravaganza from 10:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. on Good Friday, April 6 for children in kindergarten through the sixth grade. The three-hour event will include lunch and activities, including egg bowling, crafts and the egg hunt. There is no charge to attend, but registration is required. Exercise Classes Begin In April
CHAUTAUQUA - Chautauqua Health and Fitness, located in the Turner Community Center at Chautauqua Institution on Route 394, is offering several group exercise classes and Saturday morning swim lessons beginning in April. Classes include Zumba fitness, yoga-Vinyasa Krama, kickboxing for all skill levels, a high-intensity boot camp class, Hatha yoga, introduction to ballroom dance and a water workout class in the Turner Community Pool. Also offered are two American Red Cross programs: parent and child aquatics for parents with children ages 6 months to 5 years old, and learn-to-swim classes for children ages 6 and older. Cemetery To Begin Cleanup
The Lake View Cemetery will begin its annual spring cleanup on Monday. Any decorations not removed by that date will be disposed of by cemetery personnel. The gates will close at 8:30 p.m. Monday.
Study Club To Meet Monday
BEMUS POINT - The Bemus Point Study Club will meet at 6 p.m. Monday, April 2, at St. Mary of Lourdes Parish Hall. The public is welcome to attend and bring a dish to pass for a pot luck dinner. Dessert and coffee will be provided. After dinner, the program will be a tour and a talk given by Bill Reynolds of The Lawson Boat Center.
Bridge Now Closed In Poland
POLAND - The county bridge between Route 394 and Route 62 on Poland Center Road in the town of Poland is now closed to all traffic. Detours are posted.
