Speaker Returns To Lily Dale
LILY DALE - Raymond Buckland, whose classes and lectures have been among the most popular over the years at the Lily Dale Assembly, will return Sunday to offer a class from 1:30 to 4:30 p.m. sponsored by the Church of the Living Spirit at the Assembly Hall, Cleveland Avenue. An author, psychic and spiritualist for more than 50 years, Buckland's program will focus on "Gypsy Spirit Contact: A Look at the Travelers, Ways of Communicating with the Deceased." Buckland, who is of Romany (Gypsy) descent, said gypsies are regarded as "keepers of ancient mysteries." He urges visitors to bring notebooks and pens and promises an inside look at gypsy language, "strong sense of the afterlife," and healing practices. SEABEE Veterans To Meet Saturday
With rotating meetings of state U.S. Navy SEABEE Veterans of America, Island X-11 Chautauqua Region will host the 1 p.m. Saturday meeting at Dunkirk VFW Post 1017, 111 Deer St., Dunkirk. Egg Hunt To Be Held In Celoron
CELORON -The village of Celoron, the Chautauqua Lake Fishing Association and the Lakewood Celoron Loyal Order of Moose 2587 will hold their annual children's Easter egg hunt on Saturday in Lucille Ball Memorial Park. Each child can register to win a bike. Registration for the bike giveaways will be held between 9 and 10 a.m. at the Community Center, 47 Dunham Ave., Celoron. One bike will be given away in each of the following age categories: 1 to 3 years old; 4 to 6 years old; 7 to 9 years old; and 10 to 12 years old. The Easter Bunny will arrive on a Celoron Hose Company No. 1 Fire Truck. The Easter Egg Hunt will begin at 10 a.m. If needed, the rain date will be Saturday, April 7.
