No injuries were reported in a multi-vehicle accident at the intersection of Washington and Eighth streets on Friday evening. The Jamestown Police and Fire departments responded to the scene around 5:15 p.m for an accident involving three vehicles. According to police, the accident began when Kelly Conklin, 45, of Irvine, Pa, traveling west on Eighth Street with a 9-month-old baby in the vehicle, ran a red light unknowingly because of glare from the sun. Conklin collided with a vehicle, driven by Aurthur Boskat, 81, of Cattaraugus, who was traveling north on Washington Street. Boskat's car then collided with a vehicle, driven by James Smouse, 21, of Jamestown, who was waiting to make a left turn onto Eighth Street. Boskat had his wife, 71, with him in the vehicle and Smouse had a 24-year-old female passenger. One vehicle was towed. No one was ticketed.
