Pine Valley To Perform Show
SOUTH DAYTON - Pine Valley High School will present "You're a Good Man, Charlie Brown" at 7 p.m. Friday and Saturday in the high school auditorium. Tickets are $6 and can be purchased in the high school office during school hours or at the door before the show.
Ladies Auxiliary To Host Dinner
WESTFIELD - The Chautauqua County Council Of Ladies Auxiliary VFW will hold a spaghetti and meatball dinner from 4 to 6 p.m. Saturday at the Westfield American Legion Post. Take-out orders are available. Dinner includes salad, bread, spaghetti and meatballs and a dessert for a donation of $7. A basket and money giveaway will be held. Proceeds will benefit the Wounded Warriors Program Department Jane's special project. The public is welcome to attend. For more information, call Pat at 341-1328.
City Planners Meets Today
The Jamestown Planning Commission will meet at 3:30 p.m. today in the mayor's conference room on the fourth floor of Jamestown City Hall. The public is welcome to attend.
Coin Show To Be Held Sunday
The Corry and Jamestown coin clubs will host their 13th annual Collective Coin Show from 10 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Sunday at Herman Kent American Legion Post 777, located at the corner of Fairmount and Jackson avenues, Celoron. Admission is free. Several coin dealers will be on hand to buy, sell and appraise U.S., ancient and foreign coins. There will be several gold and silver coins given away during a 3:30 p.m. drawing to benefit the Corry and Jamestown coin clubs.
Panama Class To Hold Dinner
PANAMA - The Class of 2013 at Panama Central School is sponsoring a spaghetti dinner on Saturday prior to the musical performance of Guys and Dolls. Dinners will be served from 4 to 6:30 p.m. and will consist of homemade meatballs and homemade sauce, salad, beverage and dessert. Take-out dinners are available. The cost is $7 for adults, $5 for senior citizens and children under 12, and $25 for a family meal. Proceeds will be used to pay for various class expenses. Tickets may be purchased at the door. County Home Film Airs Monday
The documentary film, "Don't Sell Our County Home" will be shown from 6 to 8 p.m. Monday, March 26, at the James Prendergast Library. A public discussion led by a panel, which will include local filmmakers Karen and Roy Harvey, will follow.
Cancer Topic Of Science Speaker
Martha Kershaw will present "Cancer Basics" as the next Celebration of Science speakers series program at noon Monday, March 26 , at Jamestown Community College. The program, which is free and open to the public, will be held in Scharmann Theatre. Ms. Kershaw, a staff development instructor at Roswell Park Cancer Institute for the past eight years, will discuss cancer and its incidence, prevention and care. Ms. Kershaw, a registered nurse for 19 years, is certified in oncology nursing. She graduated from Niagara University in 1993 with a bachelor's degree in nursing and from Daemen College in 2010 with a master's degree in nursing education.
