To the Readers' Forum:
How much gall do liberals need to feign shock at Rush Limbaugh using terms used even in polite society, for hundreds of years to designate, people with certain behavior? Liberals do not want to silence Limbaugh because they believe we should treat all women with deference and respect. They believe no such thing. They daily abuse conservative women with far worse language for far less reason. They want to silence him because he spoils their pompous charades.
Personally, I wish Rush and everybody else would avoid that kind of language and subject matter on the air, but that is not the point. The point is liberal double standards. Actually, double standards hardly covers it. Liars and hypocrites comes closer.
Years ago when Communists and radicals had trouble getting heard, liberals tediously prated, ''I disagree with what you say, but will defend with my life your right to say it.'' They lied. They had no such high minded principles. They liked the Communists and radicals. They claimed to defend free speech for people anyone disagreed with, but really wanted it only for people WE disagreed with. Notice also they campaign against bullying but practice it incessantly themselves.
Since they turned the world up side down and became the new establishment they have disparaged, conspired against, and bullied all opposition mercilessly. One side only is supposed to be bound by the rules of ''civil discourse.'' Sit down, speak softly and only in private. Don't forget your place, and always say ''yes, sir'' and ''no, sir,'' When they seize enough power, they will silence opposition completely. First it's your sponsors, then your job; then you'll be run out of town. Harassment lawsuits and tax audits and seizure of funds will follow, ''Fairness'' and ''hate speech laws'' will be applied -- selectively. Next you wear a yellow star. Then they burn you in effigy. Next, the real thing.
Oh, that could never happen here or even if it does, just keep your head down. If you donate to a few Democratic campaigns, you'll be just fine at least for a while.
