Donald and the Rev. Bessie Olson of Falconer celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary on March 17, 2012, with a family party at the Ross Mills Church of God. The celebration was hosted by their children: Hazel and Wade Nolan of Derry, Pa.; Donna and Steve Myers of Anchorage, Alaska; Larry and Marion Olson of Thomasville, N.C.; Mona Olson of Kalamazoo, Mich.; David and Linda Olson of Falconer, N.Y,; Dale and Amanda Olson of Oil City, Pa.; Joy Olson of Dunkirk, N.Y.; and Aaron and Leigh Ann Olson of Houston, Texas. They also have 18 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren. Out-of-state guests attended from Michigan, Pennsylvania, North Carolina and Missouri.
Olson and the former Bessie Hazel Poole were married March 8, 1952, at the Church of God in Stoneboro, Pa. The Rev. Daniel Ratzlaff performed the ceremony.
Olson had been employed by TRW. The Rev. Olson has served as pastor of the Ross Mills Church of God for more than 30 years.
