Mr. and Mrs. Roy E. Brooks of Jamestown, N.Y., celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary on March 15, 2012, with a family dinner. The celebration was hosted by their children: Larry (Donna) Brooks in Tampa, Fla.; Diana (Daniel) Johnson in Mechanicsville, Va.; Scott (Kimberly) Brooks in Frewsburg, N.Y.; and Pamela Brooks in Quinton, Va. They also have five grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
Brooks and the former Joan Waters were married March 15, 1952, in the Free Methodist Church, Gerry, N.Y. The Rev. Thomas Simpson performed the ceremony.
Brooks, a veteran of the U.S. Navy, had been employed by S.M. Flickinger-Sysco. Mrs. Brooks had been employed as a family care provider.
