Soup And Movie Night Slated

CHERRY CREEK - The Cherry Creek/Leon United Methodist Church on Main Street, Cherry Creek, will sponsor a soup and movie night at 5:30 p.m. Saturday. There will be soup, muffins, cookies and salad. The movie shown will be "Courageous."

Workshop In Lily Dale Planned

LILY DALE - Auragraphs is the subject of a workshop scheduled from 2 to 5 p.m. Sunday at Assembly Hall, Cleveland Avenue, in Lily Dale. The class, sponsored by the Church of the Living Spirit will be presented by Susan B. Barnes, and includes how to create auragraphs, each different and each focusing on the life path of the individual involved. Legion To Host Breakfast

The breakfast committee from the Herman Kent American Legion Post 777 in Celoron, is holding its monthly breakfast at the post Sunday. Breakfast will consist of eggs, home fries, sausage, ham, French toast, Sausage gravy and Danish or a 777 three-egg omelet for only $5/person. Breakfast will be served from 8:30 till 11:30 a.m.

Lily Dale To Host Event

LILY DALE - British-style mediumship will be examined at the weekly Development Circle sponsored by the Church of the Living Spirit at 7:30 p.m. Monday. The event, scheduled at Assembly Hall, Cleveland Avenue, will be directed by Lily Dale's Susan Barnes, medium, artist and author whose artwork has been demonstrated at the International Spiritualist Federation.

Catholic Academy Sets Open House

The Catholic Academy of the Holy Family will host an open house and pre-kindergarten through eighth grade enrollment from 1 to 7:30 p.m. Tuesday. Staff members will be available to talk with prospective students and parents and tours of the school will be provided. Current students and their academic fair projects will be in the school gymnasium as well.

Picnic Group Plans Breakfast

ELLINGTON - The Ellington Town Picnic will host a breakfast buffet from 8 to 11 a.m. Sunday at the Ellington Fire Department. The breakfast includes pancakes, french toast, eggs, potatoes, sausage, bacon, coffee and juice. The cost is $8 for adults and $4 for children 12 and under. A basket giveaway will also be held. Proceeds from the breakfast will benefit the Ellington Town Picnic.

Library To Hold Book Discussion

The Lakewood Memorial Library book discussion group will meet Tuesday at 2:30 p.m. in the library. The book chosen for discussion is "People of the Book" by Geraldine Brooks. All interested readers are invited to attend. Copies of the book are available at the library and at local book stores. The group meets the third Tuesday of every month; a list of upcoming titles is available at the library. Lakewood Memorial Library is located at 12 W. Summit St. in the village.
