Kendra R. Carlson and Peter J. Hixson exchanged wedding vows on June 25, 2011, at Trinity United Methodist Church in Frewsburg, N.Y. Pastor Cameron Linehart performed the ceremony along with Steven LaMar.
The bride is the daughter of John and Karie Carlson of Jamestown and the granddaughter of Lauritz Nelson of Jamestown. Her husband is the son of John and Gail Hixson of Coopersburg, Pa.
The bride wore a DaVinci ivory chiffon A-line gown with a strapless sweetheart neckline and asymmetrical drape lace-up back adorned with two tiers of crystal accent lace trim and train.

Olivia Carlson, sister of the bride, was the maid of honor. Bridesmaids were Rhonda Prusak, sister of the bride, Carey Skelton and Lucia Frangione.
Best man was Stephen Hixson, brother of the groom. Groomsmen were Michael Mallek, Ames Eckstein and Stephen Morris.
Master and mistress of ceremonies were Brandon and Amanda Carlson, cousins of the bride.
The bride earned a Bachelor of Science degree from Geneva College in 2003 and a Master of Public Health degree from the University of Pittsburgh in 2009. She is employed as a day center director for LIFE Pittsburgh. Her husband earned a Bachelor of Science degree in elementary education from Geneva College in 2003. He is employed as a third-grade teacher for Beaver County Christian School.
They honeymooned in Walt Disney World, Orlando, Fla.
The are living in Robinson Township, Pittsburgh, Pa.
