Fluvanna Library Plans Book Sale

FLUVANNA - The Fluvanna Library, 3532 Fluvanna Ave. Extension, will hold a winter book sale from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Wednesday and Thursday, March 14-15 and a bag sale from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. on Friday, March 16. Items include hardcover and paperback books for adults and children, also a variety of videos, puzzles and magazines. Most items will be $1 or less. For more information, call 487-1773.

Town Picnic Group To Meet

ELLINGTON - The Ellington Town Picnic Committee will meet at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday, in the Farman Free Library. Discussion will be on the breakfast fundraiser, which will be held from 8 to 11 a.m. Sunday, March 18, in the Ellington Fire Hall. Anyone interested in participating in the planning for the town picnic is welcome to attend the meeting.

Sinclairville Seniors To Meet

SINCLAIRVILLE - The Sinclairville Senior Citizens will meet at noon Tuesday in the Sinclairville Fire Hall dining room for a St. Patrick's Day luncheon and program. Those attending are asked to bring a dish of food to pass and their own table service. The guest speaker for the program will be Matthew Hall, Rotary member and of the Southern Tier Investigations. New members are welcome.

Sewer Committee To Gather

CELORON - The South and Center Chautauqua Lake Sewer Districts recruitment committee will meet at 5 p.m. Tuesday in the Water Pollution Control Facility in Celoron.

JPS Board Sets Tuesday Meeting

The Jamestown Public Schools Board of Education will meet at 7 p.m. Tuesday in the board room at 197 Martin Road. The public is welcome to attend.

Myers Library Sets Story Times

FREWSBURG - Myers Memorial Library will be holding its preschool story time for children between the ages of 2 and 6 from 10 to 11 a.m. Thursdays, March 15 to April 12. Parents are encouraged to stay and participate. The themes will be St. Patrick's Day on March 15, hats on March 22, wind on March 29, spring on April 5 and rain on April 12. No pre-registration is required, but it is appreciated. For more information, call the library at 569-5515. Library hours are 1 to 8 p.m. Monday through Wednesday, 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Thursday, 2 to 5 p.m. Friday and 10 a.m. to noon Saturday.

Auto Club Plans Gathering

The Chautauqua Lake Region Antique Automobile Club will meet at 7:30 p.m. Wednesday, March 21, in the Fluvanna War Vets. Guests are welcome to attend. The club is open to anyone interested in antique and classic automobiles. For more information, call Al Oag at 483-6287.

Soil Board To Meet March 22

The Chautauqua County Soil & Water Conservation District's directors will hold their regular meeting Thursday, March 22, at 10 a.m. The meeting will be held at the Frank W. Bratt Ag Center, 3542 Turner Road, in Jamestown.
