Frewsburg Plans Budget Session
FREWSBURG - The Frewsburg Central School District will present a public budget session in the middle/high school library from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m., tonight. The public is invited to attend.
Driver Safety Class Set
Gray's Insurance will sponsor an AARP Driver Safety Class from 5 to 8 p.m. Monday and Tuesday, in the Frewsburg Central School. Class size is limited and registration is required. Call Janet Black at 569-4311 or Norma Gagliano, 569-5797. The cost is $17 for AARP member; $19 for non-members and is payable by check only. Participants should take a driver's license to class.
Thrift Shop Holding Sale
St. Luke's Thrift Shop at 409 Pine St., between Fourth and Fifth streets in Jamestown, is having an early spring sale. All items are 50 percent off of the last marked ticket price. Hours are 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Thursday and Friday. Receiving on Tuesdays is 9 a.m. to noon and the days the shop is open for business. The shop is accepting clean spring clothing items now and small household items. The shop is staffed by volunteers and all proceeds benefit local outreach programs.
Grants Available In Ellington
ELLINGTON - Low- to moderate-income homeowners in the town of Ellington in need of home repairs and improvements can apply for funding through the state Office for Community Renewal Community Development Block Grant program. Chautauqua Home Rehabilitation and Improvement Corp. officials expect a new round of home rehabilitation funding to be released soon and said the town of Ellington needs to have a substantial waiting list of applicants in order to submit an application for another grant. Pre-application forms are available at the Ellington Town Hall during regular business hours or by calling CHRIC at 661-7650. Funding for grant applicants is based on income.
